01 — What we do

Four service lines, one industry

Everything we do sits inside maritime logistics and shipping. We do not staff outside the industry, and that focus is what makes the search work.

01

Recruitment & Executive Search

Permanent and contract hiring for fleet owners, ship managers and logistics intermediaries. Sea-going and shore-based roles, from deck and engine ratings to commercial directors and board appointments.

02

Career Consulting & Coaching

One-to-one work with maritime and logistics professionals: career direction, certification pathways, application and interview preparation, and transitions between sea-going and shore-based roles.

03

Training Programmes

Three programmes for practising specialists, covering fleet operations, maritime English and the commercial side of shipping. Delivered remotely to individuals and to corporate groups.

04

Partner Vacancies

A listing service for partner companies. Roles are published under the partner name, checked before publication and put in front of our candidate network across the three regions.

02 — Who we work with

Two sides of the same market

Companies come to us to fill roles. Professionals come to us to move their careers. Both sides make the network worth having.

For companies

Fleet operators and logistics businesses

Hiring assignments run against a written brief and are paid by the client company.

  • Fleet owners and ship management companies
  • Vessel operators on river and sea routes
  • Freight forwarders and logistics intermediaries
  • Port, terminal and agency operations

For maritime professionals

Sea-going and shore-based specialists

Career consulting and training are bought directly by the specialist or by their employer.

  • Deck and engine officers and ratings
  • Shore-based logistics and operations staff
  • Chartering, commercial and crewing managers
  • Specialists moving from sea-going to shore roles

Recruitment fees are agreed with the hiring company before a search begins. Candidates are never charged for a placement.

03 — Coverage

Three regions we operate across

Marvus Advisory is registered in the Republic of Seychelles and works with clients remotely. Coverage describes the markets and trade lanes we recruit across, not physical premises.

R / 01

Black Sea

Operators and fleet managers across the Black Sea and Azov basin, together with the river routes that feed them.

R / 02

Mediterranean

Short-sea and coastal trades, ship management companies and the logistics intermediaries working Mediterranean ports.

R / 03

Asia-Pacific

Deep-sea trades, crewing pools and the shore-based teams supporting Asia-Pacific routes and their European connections.

04 — How we work

Four steps, agreed in writing

The same sequence runs on every assignment. Scope, timing and fees are confirmed before the search starts.

Step 01

Brief

We agree the role profile in writing: responsibilities, vessel type or trade lane, certification, rotation and remuneration range.

Step 02

Search & assessment

Targeted search across our network and the open market. Candidates are screened on certification, sea time and references.

Step 03

Shortlist

A short, argued list with our notes on each candidate. We coordinate interviews and carry feedback in both directions.

Step 04

Onboarding support

We stay with the process through offer, documentation and the first months in post, and step in if anything needs correcting.

05 — Expertise

Why companies bring us the difficult roles

Two ships' officers going over a paper chart together on a vessel's bridge.

01

Fleet management is the core

Our practice is built around companies that manage fleets for river and sea transport. We understand how crewing, technical management and commercial operations are actually organised, which is what makes a brief translate into the right shortlist.

02

Every grade, one desk

Ratings, officers, superintendents, chartering and operations staff, and board-level appointments are handled by the same team. A client filling a rating vacancy and a C-level seat works with one point of contact.

03

Bilingual by default

We work in English and Russian throughout: briefs, interviews, references and documentation. In these trade lanes that removes a layer of friction that otherwise slows hiring down.

04

Both sides of the market

Because we also advise and train individual professionals, the candidate network is a working relationship rather than a database. Roles reach people who are genuinely open to a move.

06 — FAQ

Questions we are asked first

Every engagement opens with a written brief: the role, the vessel type or trade lane, certification requirements, rotation pattern and the commercial range. Scope, timing and fees are confirmed in writing before the search begins, so both sides know what is being measured.

The Black Sea and Azov basin, the Mediterranean, and the Asia-Pacific region. Candidates are sourced internationally. These regions describe the markets and trade lanes we cover; the company itself is registered in the Republic of Seychelles and works remotely.

Recruitment is paid by the hiring company, on terms agreed before the search starts. Candidates are never charged for a placement. Career consulting and training programmes are separate services, purchased directly by the individual specialist or by their employer.

It depends on grade and certification. Ratings and junior shore-based roles move fastest. Senior sea-going appointments and specialised shore positions take longer, because the qualified pool is smaller and notice periods are longer. Indicative timing is set out in the brief for each assignment rather than promised in advance.

Send the role details through the form below. Partner vacancies are published under the partner name once the details have been checked, and are put in front of our candidate network. Applications are screened and forwarded; the hiring decision stays with the partner.
